报告人简介

Herbert H. Lindner was born in Salzburg, Austria. He received his Master degree and Ph.D. in Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Innsbruck in 1975 and 1982. After becoming the university assistant at the Department of Medical Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Innsbruck in 1984, he habilitated his “venia legendi” for Analytical Biochemistry there in 1992 and became Associate Professor in 1997. In 2008 he was appointed as the Director of the Protein Microanalysis Facility at Innsbruck Med. University. Then in 2012 he became the vice director of the Division of Clinical Biochemistry.

The main focus of his research is the development of new analytical techniques based on RP-HPLC and HILIC for the separation of protein micro-sequence variants and post-translational modifications of proteins. His main research interests focus on the evaluation of capillary electrophoresis-mass spectrometry (CE-MS) as an alternative proteomics tool for nanoLC-MS and quantitative proteomics which used for both discovery and targeted proteomic analyses to understand global proteomic dynamics in a cell, tissue or organism.
