吴屹影,1998年毕业于中国科学技术大学化学物理系,2002年获美国加州大学伯克利分校(UC-Berkeley)博士学位,导师:杨培东教授。随后在加州大学圣塔芭芭拉分校(University of California at Santa Barbara)生物化学系做博士后研究,合作导师:Prof. Galen D. Stucky2005年夏天加入了俄亥俄州立大学化学系,2011年晋升为副教授,2014年获得终身职教授。自2017年起,他被任命为Leet Endowed Chair2013年起任ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces国际知名期刊副主编。

主要从事能源转换和存储的材料合成以及界面研究。他是单电子K-O2电池的发明者;作为是太阳能电池领域的先驱者有效的将太阳能收集与储能相结合。研究成果颇丰,是国际知名的年轻学者。其论文H因子为57,文章总引用次数达40000多次。2008年荣获Cottrell Scholar Award2010年荣获NSF CAREER Award2014年获得CAPA Biomatik杰出教师奖,2015年获得Midwest Energy News “40 under 40”。他于2014年发明K-air电池并获得DOE清洁能源奖。2000-2010年发布全球顶尖一百材料学家名人堂榜单名列第六。

 

Prof. Yiying Wu, received his B.S. in chemical physics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1998, and his Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of California at Berkeley in 2003 with Prof. Peidong Yang. He then did his postdoctoral research with Prof. Galen D. Stucky at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and joined the chemistry faculty at The Ohio State University in the summer of 2005. He was promoted to associate professor with tenure in 2011 and to full professor in 2014. Since 2017, he has been appointed as the Leet Endowed Chair. He has been serving as an associate editor for ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces since 2013.

His work mainly focuses on materials chemistry and interface synthesis for energy conversion and storage. He is the inventor of the one-electron K-O2 battery and pioneered solar batteries that integrate solar harvesting with energy storage. The paper has the H factor of 31, and the total number of citations of the article is more than 40,000. He received Cottrell Scholar Award in 2008, NSF CAREER Award in 2010, CAPA Biomatik Distinguished Faculty Award in 2014, and Midwest Energy News “40 under 40” in 2015. His invention of K-air battery received DOE Clean Energy Prize in 2014. In the recent 2000-2010, the world's top 100 materials scholars Hall of Fame ranked sixth.
